The folks at Universal Tennis have been very busy adding new features and updating their website to help college-bound Junior Players navigate the recruiting process and to help College Coaches as well. The article below, posted on the UTR website, explains the latest changes and new tools.
Also, as I posted on our social media channels recently, USTA has a new College Tennis website located at USTA.com/College. They are continuing to add content – including articles, videos, and webinars – over the coming months.
Please take a look at both these resources – the more information your Junior Player has on the colleges he/she is interested in, the better!

College coaches and players, get ready for a new and improved UTR College experience! We’ve just updated UTR College with amazing new features for both college coaches and prospective players to discover, connect, and grow college tennis.
At Universal Tennis, one of our goals is to enable every young player in the world to have the opportunity to realize a dream to play college tennis and get an education – regardless of their location and socioeconomic status. The new UTR College features were built to help every facet of the college ecosystem – addressing the needs of players and coaches – to unify and connect the world to college. New features include advanced analytics and statistics, improved scouting services, community building, team and fan engagement, and much more. Read on for all the details!
Conference & Roster Analytics
See how a college team lineup stacks up against their in-conference competition. UTR’s new conference and roster analytics feature is now live on every college and university team page. Here’s an example – see how Stanford’s team roster (in pink) stacks up to the rest of the PAC12 (in teal).
Team Schedule
Get the information you need about every college right on its UTR College page. Now, every college page displays the team’s dual-match schedule so you can follow your team throughout the season.
Advanced Player Profiles & Scouting Tools
UTR College now offers advanced player scouting tools. Coaches can search for players by age and graduation year. Players can also now add in academic information into their player profiles that can be viewed only by themselves and college coaches.
Track Favorite Colleges & Universities
Now players can join college UTR pages to follow their activity and stay up to date on any open events, prospect camps, and track how the team is doing. When players join a college club, they are in some cases able to directly message the team coach through the UTR platform. Coaches can also track prospects who are joining their club and directly message them through the UTR platform.
College Fit Search Tool
Players can use UTR’s College Fit tool to help identify schools where they could play on the team based on their UTR. Players can leverage the advanced search features and filter by where you want to play in the lineup, school location, and even conference or division. Note that College Fit is available to all, but the advanced search tools are only available to Power subscribers.
For Coaches: Build & Engage Your Community
UTR College lets you create a diverse community centered around your program to increase engagement and drive revenue. You can use your College Club to communicate and engage with prospects, players, alumni, fans, community members and more! Invite them to join your UTR College Club where you can message everyone in your community to invite them to dual matches, community events, prospect camps, and keep them posted on team news. Use UTR College to run everything from community play-ins, to prospect camps, to prize money and pro events!
