Across the Water Seattle, WA |
Seattle, WA
After a very filling breakfast at 5 Spot, we took our rental car on the ferry to Bainbridge Island to do a little exploring. We drove around for a while then crossed a bridge onto the peninsula and found ourselves in a little town called Poulsbo. It was so cute! It’s a water-front town based on a Viking motif with little shops and restaurants scattered along the main street. We walked around, found a bench near the water and did a little people- and boat-watching then wandered down onto the piers where we saw these incredible jelly fish swimming around right at the pier. We then drove back to Bainbridge for a little late lunch (aka fries & beer!) at Harbor Public House before making our way back to the ferry for the short ride to Seattle Harbor.
Dinner was in yet another Seattle neighborhood at a place called Miyabi 45th, known for its homemade Soba noodles. It was very good! Afterward, we walked a few blocks to Molly Moon’s for ice cream (Storyville Coffee & Honey for me) and saw our one and only marijuana exchange going down on the street corner!
