2022 ITA Summer Circuit Schedule

I received the following release from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regarding the 2022 Summer Circuit dates and locations. Hope you find it helpful as you and your player(s) plan your summer schedule!

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association “ITA”, Tennis-Point, and Universal Tennis are proud to bring summer tennis to collegiate players and high-level juniors with the 2022 ITA Tennis-Point Summer Circuit powered by Universal Tennis.

Spanning across 26 states over the weekends of June 18th through July 25th, the 2022 ITA Summer Circuit is set to be one of the most expansive to date and will provide competitive match play opportunities for players nationwide.

More information on the 2022 schedule and host sites can be found here.

Who Can Compete

The ITA Tennis-Point Summer Circuit powered by Universal Tennis is an open event meaning anyone who is a current ITA member can compete without conflicting with NCAA compliance rules.

The ITA Player Membership can be purchased beginning in May for $35 and will qualify the member to compete in all ITA Tour events between May 3, 2022, and April 30, 2023.

How to Register

Tournament registration for select events will become available Monday, May 17th. Registration for the remaining tournaments will open soon after. Each week’s registration will remain open until the Sunday before the tournament is played. Follow the ITA on social media or visit the event page for more updates and information.

Each tournament will have a $70 registration fee. This fee covers registration for singles and doubles play (if applicable). Depending on court availability and safe play guidelines, some tournaments may offer doubles competition.

To increase the number of competitive matches in the Circuit, selections into each tournament will be based on player UTR. Additionally, draws will be limited to 32 players. If a tournament has multiple flights, a player’s UTR will be used to determine flight placement.

Why You Should Participate

The ITA Summer Circuit provides a unique opportunity for collegiate and high-level junior players to refine their skills over the summer months. The top players on the Circuit will be recognized in the ITA Summer Circuit Points Race every week. At the conclusion of the Circuit, the top five men and top five women will receive an automatic entry into the ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships by Universal Tennis along with a travel reimbursement to help cover the cost of competing.

The 2022 ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championship by Universal Tennis is set for August 11-16 on the campus of Florida State University. Winners of the Summer Championship will receive automatic wildcard spots into the 2022 ITA Men’s and Women’s All American Championships later in the year.
