Travel Day One

Atlanta, GA

Friday Noon: I picked up Morgan from school, and we headed to the Atlanta airport for our 2pm flight into Newark. The flight was uneventful, thank goodness! Once we arrived in Newark, we figured out how to get to the train station to catch a train into Penn Station. Along the way, we met a guy from San Diego, Andrew, who was also travelling into the City and staying a couple of blocks from us on the Upper East Side, so we decided to share a cab to our respective apartments – way to save a few bucks! We got to James and Reggie’s apartment, dropped off our stuff, then headed to the subway to eat dinner at Ise, Morgan’s favorite NYC sushi bar. After a delicious and filling meal, we decided to walk back up Lexington toward the apartment, even though we were at 49th Street and heading back to 88th! As we neared Bloomingdale’s, we saw the amazing window display of vintage and new guitars, so we stopped for some pics. After several more blocks, we decided to hop in a cab the rest of the way. Once we got back to the apartment, we got ready for bed then crashed pretty quickly!
