Travel Day (and Happy 12th Birthday, Morgan!)

Denver, CO

Left ATL on an 8:30am flight and headed straight to Denver. Nothing out of the ordinary though Matthew had the foresight to get us the best seats on the plane – footrests and everything! Philip met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel in Downtown Denver, pointing out important landmarks along the way. We checked in, dumped our stuff in the room, and headed out on foot to find a good spot for lunch. Tamayo was the place! Yummy local upscale Mexican food in a beautiful room, best mojito I’ve ever had! Highly recommend it! After a quick stop at Gelazzi for some delicious gelato, a good walk back to the hotel for a rest before the evening festivities. Met the family in the lobby and headed over to Forest Room 51 in the Highlands area of town for dinner with the bride’s and groom’s families. A hole-in-the-wall with sentimental attachments for David and Megan. Decent food, good atmosphere. Back to the hotel around 10pm for a good night’s sleep!
