Our Last Day Barcelona, Spain |
Barcelona, Spain
We had breakfast at the hotel then took the Metro to Park Guell, built by Gaudi for the Guell family – it’s an amazing place with spectacular views of the city! After walking around and doing a bit of shopping in the Gift Shop, we took the Metro to the Bagatell Beach area and ate a tapas lunch at La Tortulia, sitting outside on the boulevard – it was so gorgeous there! After lunch, I changed into my bathing suit then we walked down the boulevard onto the beach and hung out for a couple of hours in the perfect weather. Afterward, it was a stop at El Tio Che for llet merengada, a frozen drink that’s a specialty of the place. We took the Metro back to the Old City in hopes of buying menorahs at the synagogue gift shop – as we got close, we saw a group of men davening which was quite a site. We then went back to our hotel for a rest before dinner. We headed to Passeig de Gracia to take a look inside La Pedrera before making our way to Momos Asian tapas restaurant in a very cool little neighborhood off Gran de Gracia. Dinner was really unique and delicious, especially the Chinese black rice with coconut and mango I had for dessert. Back to the hotel for packing and sleep.
