The Road to Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste, the World Championships of Junior Tennis, Begins Now!
UTR is excited to be the home for the USA Playoffs Lacoste Series, a new three-series event open to every American player age 13 and under, to win the opportunity to participate in the qualifying for Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste, an elite international tournament that is considered the world championships for junior players.
The three events, taking place in Florida, Illinois and California, are a fantastic opportunity for talented youngsters to play for a chance to qualify for the USA Playoffs Lacoste, and continue to play to win a spot on the National Team for the 2020 Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste Tournament.
The USA Playoffs Lacoste Series: What is it?
3 Series Events, open to EVERY American player (boys and girls, 13 and under), have been organized in Florida, Illinois, and California. The winner of each Series Event will qualify for the USA Playoffs Lacoste. The USA Playoffs Lacoste will determine the American players who will participate in the elite Les Petits – Le Mondial Lacoste Tournament. Since 1982, Les Petits – Le Mondial Lacoste has been the premier junior tournament for today’s tennis elite, including Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Coco Gauff, Lindsay Davenport, Michael Chang, and Francis Tiafoe.

The USA Playoffs Lacoste Series, Florida
Where: Proworld Tennis Academy, Delray Beach Florida
Dates: September 14 – 16
Register By: September 12, 2019
Players: 32 Boys, 32 Girls
All matches are Verified UTR

The USA Playoffs Lacoste Series, California
Where: Palisades Tennis Center, Los Angeles CA
Dates: September 17 – 21

6 winners, 3 boys and 3 girls, one from each playoff event of the USA Playoffs Lacoste Series will receive entry into the USA Playoffs Lacoste. 10 wild cards (5 boys and 5 girls) will be selected as well.
The USA Playoffs Lacoste
32 American players will compete at the USA Playoffs Lacoste from October 5-9 to qualify for the Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste. 16 players (8 boys and 8 girls) will be selected according to the National Standings list as of August 14, 2019, and 16 players will receive entry based off of their performance in the USA Playoffs Lacoste Series. The USA Playoffs Lacoste is by invitation-only.
The 8 players (4 boys and 4 girls) who finish at the top will earn a spot to represent the US team for Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste, scheduled for January 23 to February 2, 2020. Players will be provided with food and accommodation in Tarbes, France.
