Junior Tournaments & Rankings

Westward Ho!

Later today I’m heading out to the Left Coast, this time to attend and cover the Oracle/ITA College & Junior Master events – which will be streaming live on FloTennis – at the Malibu Racquet Club.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how this new Junior event fleshes out. It’s the first time for an event to host both juniors and college players side by side, and what an incredible opportunity for the junior players to see how their game compares to that of the men and women playing at the next phase of the journey! I’m hoping to have the chance to interview several of the players as well as their coaches for articles that will be posted on ParentingAces and the ITA website. Be sure to follow the action via the ParentingAces Twitter and Instagram feeds!

Over the weekend I ran into Chris Eubanks at the Georgia Tech Invitational. He was there cheering on his teammates after returning from a great run to the quarterfinals at the ITA All-Americans in Tulsa last week. Chris is among the players traveling to Malibu this week, and I’m hoping to chat further with him there.

The Atlanta area also has 3 juniors competing in Malibu, so there will be lots of homegrown talent for me to watch.

You can see the complete player list for the college event here and the junior event here.

Following my time in SoCal, I’ll be heading to Las Vegas for a bit more college tennis action at the ITA Mountain Region Championships. This time, it will be purely for fun (i.e. no article deadlines, lol!), and I’m really looking forward to hanging out at the courts for a couple of days.

If you’re going to be at either the Masters or the Region Championships, please come find me and say hello! You can always reach me through social media or directly here.
