Paris, Day 7

Paris, Day 7

Paris, France

Happy birthday, Rafa! It’s our last full day in Paris – sad! We woke up around 10am, threw on some clothes, and walked to breakfast at Le Pris aux Clercs – I finally got Matthew out for breakfast! We had coffee, a croissant, and diced fruit salad. We walked across the street to do a little shopping (don’t wanna give away anything here!) then returned to the hotel for a shower. Afterward, we walked to the Luxembourg Gardens and wound up seeing a little-kids tennis lesson in progress on the courts – so cool! We then headed into the Latin Quarter and ate lunch at a cute little corner cafe called Cafe Lea. By complete accident, we found ourselves on Rue de Mouffetard, an amazing street with tons of restaurants, shops, and a cobble street. I would love to stay here on our next visit! We shopped and shopped and continued walking to Notre Dame – WOW! Absolutely awesome to see in person!

We made our way back to our hotel for a short rest before finally drinking that bottle of champagne (see my first entry) with our crew in the hotel library. Dinner that night was at La Regalade, a short walk from our hotel, near the Louvre. Dinner was just so-so, but the Grand Marnier souffle I had for dessert was INCREDIBLE!

We all walked back to the hotel then packed our massive amounts of stuff, and went to bed.
